The University of East Anglia has research strengths in clinical medicine, especially diabetes and cardiovascular medicine as well as in health services, including primary care. It investigates how to get evidence intro practice through complex interventions aimed at changing professional and organisatonal behavior. It has performed implementation research on the intregration of health services and evaluation of primary health care for diabetes, hypertension, HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, respiratory disease, depression, cancer and other chronic conditions in South Africa, Brazil, Nigeria and other settings.

UEA will contribute to the work on the evaluation of effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of integrated services compared to current standard of care
