Partner profile

The NIMR is a government parastatal institution comprising 8 centres across Tanzania. NIMR – Muhibmili Center is based in Dar es Salaam and focuses on research in HIV TB, NCDs, clinical trials, and disease surveillance. NIMR has delivered successfully on several complex trials and implementation studies that have influenced global guidelines.

For example, it has played major roles in the research and scaling up of interventions for late stage HIV infection. In Tanzania, NIMR is a partner of Hindu-Mandal, an NGO not-for-profit hospital that supports government health services through training in clinical and health services management.
